Discreet Design, Bold Function: Garaventa Lift’s Xpress II at Jimmy Choo Beverly Hills

This month’s featured project takes us to the heart of Beverly Hills, where high fashion meets smart design. Inside the elegant Jimmy Choo boutique, a custom Garaventa Xpress II inclined platform lift proves that accessibility and luxury can go hand in hand.

Where Form Meets Function

Designed for a retail environment where a traditional elevator wasn’t feasible, the Xpress II provided the perfect solution—delivering accessibility without compromising space or style. This direct-mount installation preserves valuable showroom real estate, ensuring that every square foot continues to serve its high-end purpose. This installation is a masterclass in subtle sophistication. Finished in a custom color with a matching handrail, the lift blends beautifully into its upscale surroundings. The unit is supported by hidden steel structures embedded in the wall—allowing for a clean, direct mount free of visible framework. Furthering its seamless integration, all electrical wiring, including the mains power, is fully concealed within the walls. Flush-mounted Hall stations eliminate the need for surface conduit, maintaining the clean lines and luxury feel of the space.

A Thoughtful Touch in High Fashion

Accessibility in boutique retail often presents unique challenges, but this project demonstrates how those challenges can be met with elegance. Thanks to expert planning and craftsmanship by McKinley Elevator, the Jimmy Choo store now offers discreet, dependable accessibility that aligns with the brand’s iconic style.

Project Highlights

  • Discreet Design: Custom finish and concealed wiring ensure the lift complements its luxury surroundings.
  • Direct Mount Installation: Hidden steel supports within the wall enable a clean, space-saving setup.
  • Flush-Mounted Stations: No exposed conduit—just a smooth, seamless finish throughout.
