Residential Door

A standard solid core residential door is used as the Hoistway doors of the elevator. The doors are equipped with a door interlock to lock the doors when the elevator is not present at that landing. The doors need to comply to the "3 & 5 Rule" which references the positioning of the door in relation to the elevator hoistway (see drawing).
