Limit Switches

Limit switches are used to limit the travel of an elevator beyond its designated travel range.

Lower Normal Limit Switch

• removes power from the motor in the event the car passes the lower landing

Upper Normal Limit Switch

• removes power from the motor in the event the car passes the upper landing

Final Limit Switch

• removes power from the motor in the event the car passes the upper limit switch
