This evacuation device is equipped with a hydraulic speed governor and fail-safe brake, allowing a small attendant to easily evacuate a much larger person. Sometimes evacuation is upward from below grade locations such as a basement or parking garage. The Power Evacu-Trac emergency evacuation device is equipped with a battery and powerful motor that allows a small attendant to evacuate a heavy passenger up many flights of stairs. It includes a rechargeable battery and automatic charger. Power Evacu-Trac has a capacity of 136 kg (300 lbs) and is suitable for stairways of up to 35o. This device can also be used to provide access for those not in wheelchairs.
